Night Coffee is looking for your poetry, art, and ephemera to publish in our magazine.

We publish issues online 2x per year.

Email your submission to nightcoffeelit@gmail.com with the subject line “poetry submission”, “art submission”, or “ephemera submission” depending on what category you are sending us.

Do not send us a submission in more than one category until you’ve heard back from us, please.

In the body of the email, write a brief cover letter and include a short bio (50-75 words) in the third person. You can address your email to the appropriate editor. (Our names are on the masthead page.)

We aim to get back to you within 6 months, if not sooner.

If accepted, you grant us First North American Serial Rights to publish your piece(s). Upon publication, all rights revert back to the author. If your piece is published elsewhere in the future, you agree to credit Night Coffee as first publisher.

It is free to submit. Payment is $50 USD per contributor. (PayPal or Venmo.) We are committed to paying artists for their art.

Poetry: submit 3-5 previously unpublished poems in one doc, docx, or pdf document. Simultaneous submissions ok but let us know if you need to withdraw an accepted poem ASAP. Wait until you hear back from us before submitting anything else. We like: weird stuff, dream logic, feeling feelings, thoughtful use of form. We don’t like (and will not tolerate): hate speech of any kind.

Art: submit up to 8 files. Low res is ok, we will get high res from you upon acceptance. Jpg, png, and gif are acceptable file types.

Ephemera: submit a reasonable volume of your weirdsiest weirds, including but not limited to: works in translation, reviews of lost and forgotten esoterica, enlightened shitposts, short fictions both magical and real.
